Workshop: Fabric Valentine’s Day Boxes

Description

This is a beginning sewing workshop where students will make a fabric box out of Valentine’s Day fabric. It’s a great size to hold all their valentines in! (There are 30 valentines in the picture, just for reference!) I will provide all of the materials needed for this sewing workshop.

The finished box is a 7″ square diameter, and it stands about 4″ tall. The front side has a button sewn on (they will learn how to hand stitch a button) and it is for decoration only. I used a fusible fleece interfacing to make the fabric box a little bit stiffer/heavier.

Prerequisite: sewing basics, ages 8+
