Description
Hand-stitching classes are designed as introductory classes for young, creatives who want to learn to sew! Everything will be done by hand, and no sewing machines are needed.
For this particular class, students will not need to bring anything because we will be assembling a little hand-stitching book that will have everything they need to begin their hand-stitching journey! (Which means they will have their stitching book that they can bring to class each week/month of classes that they sign up for!) As part of this project, they will receive sewing needles, pins, and even a pair of snippers, all to keep inside this book that they will be sewing together in class! Everything will be cut out and ready to go at the start of class. Because this is only a 2 hour class, there is a chance that they might not finish everything in class (every kid is different; it really depends on how quickly they sew!) However, I took step-by-step pictures as I created this booklet and I will be putting up a tutorial to share how to put it all together. It really is simple, with very basics stitches, and I’m hopeful that we will get the majority (if not all) finished in class 😉
The finished book measures 6″x4″ and has 6 pages which include pockets for snippers, thread and safety pins, and pages to store pins and needles.
**Since I limit my class sizes, if you have a group of 3-6 kids who would like to take this class together, please let me know before registering. I am only creating one time slot at this time, but can set up additional times with your group if you would like to take this class together. Also, if this time slot fills up before you have a chance to sign up, please also let me know. I usually create a wait list when classes fill up and will add additional time slots if there is a demand!!
